Stop into Reeves-Sain Drugstore on Memorial Blvd. and get your prescriptions filled, drop of you packages to be mailed in their post office, do a little shopping, but...before you leave you HAVE to get one of their milkshakes! I personally prefer the butterscotch variety.

You can also grab a bite to eat and with any of their sandwiches you get a FREE piece of their 30th Anniversary Strawberry Cake, which is remarkable. Not to mention Reeves Sain offers the best customer service I for one have ever experienced in Murfreesboro. Their service is truly something every 'Boro business should aspire to. Hope you enjoy!

In this episode of Tuesday Morning Coffee John sits down with Alex Charfen, the founder of the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation for Realtors to discuss the current foreclosure epidemic in the US and what we can do to help the country get back on track and keep home owners from losing their homes to foreclosure. Where it be through a short sale, loan modification, or one of the other options there are options. See what the nations top foreclosure and short sale expert has to say in this week's Tuesday Morning Coffee.

The 'Boro has a number of beautiful playgrounds to take the kids to. Our personal favorite is the new playground at the Greenway Trailhead located on Cason Trail. It's a family favorite and with the beautiful weather today you're sure to see one of us out there mixing it up with the young'ns. The facilities there are really top notch for a public park. With a couple of event shelters, nice clean restrooms, plenty of space to run and play, a well maintained entrance to the Greenway Trail and best of all two seperate jungle gyms (one for the big kids and one for the little tykes), both on padding to reduce the risk of injury.

Based out of Nashvegas this quintet features the silky smooth vocals of Natalie Aulvin and Murfreesboro's own Trey Call with a guitar sound reminiscent of the '90s riff heavy alternative scene (think Gin Blossoms or Foo Fighters).

This week John Jones received the distinct pleasure of sitting down to chat with Alex Charfen, who is the founder of the CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert) organization, as well the new owner of Star Power, an exclusive group of the nation's top real estate agents who constantly strive to better the real estate industry by sharing their knowledge with other agents. This summer Star Power will be bringing their annual conference to our hometown of Murfreesboro TN at Embassy Suites. We hope you enjoy this candid chat between Alex and John as they discuss Alex's recent acquisition of the Star Power organization, what to expect at the 2010 Star Power Conference (like a rare appearance by DAVE RAMSEY!), and why they chose Murfreesboro (as opposed to Nashville or another Metro city) as the host city for the annual event which perennially draws thousands of agents from across the US and Canada.

If you've got kids shoot for 10:30 AM so you'll have time to grab some Starbucks before heading to the 11:00 AM storytime in the Children's section. This week's title is Max & Ruby: Max’s Birthday. Think your littl'n can't sit still? They typically have some crafts or other activities for them as well.

Beginning at Noon, Barnes and Noble is showcasing a number of our local authors. Scheduled to attend are Shari Howerton, Dr. Ruthie-Marie Beckwith, Max Sanders, Wayne Bradshaw, Rami Shapiro and others. A particular local read we've enjoyed recently is Steve Elder's book "How Much More Longer". Steve will be on hand answering questions and signing books as well.

If you do take the kids they'll likely be a little antsy again by the time you've learned all there is to know about our local writers...but you're in luck, just a short stroll around the corner, across from The Children's Place, is the Camp Avenue. Grab a snack and head over there and the kids can run loose in a tucked away confined area so you can enjoy the one of the books you just picked up from our local authors and what we're hoping to be yet another beautiful day in the 'Boro.

Taste of the Town - Through The Grapevine - Murfreesboro

This week Tim Dutton takes his Taste of the Town series to Through The Grapevine, located just off of Memorial Blvd. in Murfreesboro.
