how to stop a foreclosure - Murfreesboro

Over the last few years we've helped numerous families avoid foreclosure. Some were short sales, others successful loan modifications. What they all have in common is that they came to us with enough time for our Foreclosure Relief Team to step in, contact the bank and get enough extra time to help them avoid foreclosure. In this episode of Tuesday Morning Coffee we've let some of those clients share their stories with you. See more of these and others stories on our foreclosure information page or at www.theforeclosurereliefteam.com

JOHN:  Hey, guys.  John Jones here with another edition of Tuesday Morning Coffee, a special edition.  You’re about to see some videos, some clips, some footage of some folks that we’ve helped this year.  And these people we have helped avoid foreclosure.  As you all know, we all read the papers, with the economy that we’ve been in the last couple of years, it’s been very hard on a lot of people.  And every week I look in the newspaper and I see all of the foreclosure listings in the paper.  And quite honestly guys, a lot of those do not have to be there if the person or the homeowner who is in trouble will reach out and find some help.

We were successful in converting about 80% of the people we helped, and the 20% that we couldn’t help avoid foreclosure, it was usually two late in the game to help them.  They put off that decision to call somebody for help too long.  Guys, we are CDPE approved, designated.  We have been to all the classes.  We stay on top of all the new guidelines, the new government guidelines that changes daily it seems like.  So listen to these people.  Listen to their hearts.  If it’s you or someone you know, please have them call us.  We want to help them.

----

Before I found the John Jones team, I was nervous and embarrassed, and really uncertain about what would happen and how things would go.  We had tried to sell the house for a long time, and in this economy, in this market, it just wasn’t happening.

----

Once we made that initial call and that first step, everything just kind of fell into place.  And it’s amazing what’s been done for us.  It’s really saved our financial future.

----

I would say the whole short sale process is not as scary as it seems in the beginning.

----

There is somebody out there that will help you and that will actually tell you straightforward what they can and cannot do, what your opportunities are and what your opportunities are not.  A lot of times, we think there’s no hope, but that’s because we don’t educate ourselves and we’re not knowledgeable about what’s out there.

----

When we tried to call the bank and get anything done, it wasn’t working out.  When Joe Hafner would call, he would get answers and he would get results.  So it was a lot of weight off our shoulders.

----

It really was such a relief that there were no surprises and everything had worked out exactly like Joe and John Jones had said that it would and that it really went very smoothly, and we got the house sold in a relatively short, what I consider a short amount of time.

----

Don’t just ignore it and try to let it go.  If you’re proactive with that, that you’ll have a lot more success.

----

They can help you so much, and they’re so honest about where you are and what to expect and what they can do to help you and what expectations you have that are realistic and that really aren’t so realistic.  They kind of put everything into perspective.

----

It’s so much easier when you have somebody on your side and somebody who’s working to get the results that you want because we could have just never done this by ourselves.

----

I firmly believe that that’s why we were able to get through it is because of the knowledge and the training that they provided at John Jones Real Estate.

----

All you’ve got to do is make that first call.  And once you make that first call, they’ll do everything in their power to help you.
