LEA ANNE:  It’s a beautiful day in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and here we are at our Minglewood house.  So many things have happened.  To say the least, I was extremely shocked.  You’re going to see some fascinating things.  The homeowner has worked so hard.  We’re working with Stephanie Morgan from “This Is It” Listings.  Amazing.  I’m speechless, and that never happens.  Follow us inside and let’s see what they’ve done over the last four weeks.

STEPHANIE:  Here we are in the bedroom that last week I was so excited just to be able to walk around the bed and stand right here.  And we’re completely cleaned out.  We’ve been painting.  This is Henry from H&M Home Remodeling.  And he is taking care of all our stuff.  He’s doing all kinds of things for us, not just the painting.  But this is where the mother will come home to when she comes home from rehab next week.  And so we have her a nice and clean spot, and we hope she’s going to be thrilled with it.

LEA ANNE:  If you can afford to buy some new bedding, something neutral, you can always take this with you.  And it looks so fresh and clean.  She’s used some neutral colors, and she’ll be taking this with her.  If you didn’t have something like this, plain white sheets and take the time to iron them.  A simple blanket will do fine.  Try to do your best to make the bedrooms inviting.  You’ll notice there’s not a lot of clutter here.  A lamp, some family pieces.  Just less is more.  When in doubt, take it out.

STEPHANIE:  Natural light is your best friend as you get your house ready to sell because it bathes the room in something that’s not harsh and yet it’s not dark.  So as you get things ready, make sure to keep those blinds open and turn your lamps on.  When you were here last time, I told you this was command central.  Our couch was right in this area, and we were sort of dumping everything there and going through it.  So we have it completely cleared out now.

Actually, it’s still in the process of being painted.  Our window seals aren’t done.  Everything is wet, but we are well on our way to getting it back where it needs to go.  We’re going to get those carpets stretched and get all our furniture back in here, and it’s going to be looking good.
