    During his 16+ years in real estate John has helped more than 2,000 families handle their real estate needs. Before opening his own brokerage he was a perennial top producer for Coldwell Banker from 1998 to 2008, consistently ranking among the top 2% of agents in the nation.

    In 2007 The John Jones Team was ranked 43rd in the country and #1 in the state of Tennessee in units sold by The Wall Street Journal. Additionally, in 2005, John was recognized as one of the top real estate professionals in North America when he was named a STAR POWER "STAR".

    In October of 2008 John realized his vision of a small boutique real estate firm that offers the best in customer service, market knowledge, wealth building opportunities, and innovative techniques that get homes sold.

    A real estate innovator both locally and nationally, John is one of the first agents here to utilize a support staff that includes an Office Manager, Closing Coordinator, Operations Manager, Listing Coordinator, Marketing and Technology Consultant, and six full-time Sales Consultants.

    An ardent football fan, John volunteers as a coach at Providence Christian Academy, as well as assisting with the Annual Kelly Holcomb Football Clinic. John was recently honored as one of the first inductees in the Riverdale High School Hall of Fame.

    He has been married to wife Tracy for more than 15 years, and has 4 children, Jack 13, Pruitt 11, Liza Jane 9, and Mary Margaret 5.

    Michele Bufford was the first member of The John Jones Team and has been with John since 1998. Not only is she John’s right hand but she also manages the office. Michele’s responsibilities include handling all accounting for all of John's different ventures (residential and commercial real estate as well as development and rental properties).

    Michele obtained her real estate license in July of 2001 so she could do even more to help out John and the team when needed.  Michele moved here approximately 12 years ago from Oklahoma where she started as the Office Manager for an oil and gas company and ended the 8 year stint as vice president. Michele is married to Doug and has two sons, Tyler St. John, 16, and Trevor St. John, 9 and are members of Fellowship United Methodist Church.

    Joe brings to The John Jones Team more than a decade of real estate experience, including several years as Vice President of Public Relations/New Business Development for Ralph Roberts, the best-selling Realtor in America. Additionally, Joe has provided consulting services for many top residential real estate teams across North America.

    As Managing Broker Joe oversees the team’s day-to-day operations, creates and refines systems, and works directly with John on marketing and new business development. Joe also directly handles all of our short sales. He has co-authored a pair of real estate books, Sell It Yourself (Adams Media), and Real Wealth by Investing in Real Estate (Prentice Hall).

    Joe was recently honored as the first assistant ever to be named a STAR POWER STAR. He was also the first Certified Distressed Property Expert in middle Tennessee. Joe lives in Murfreesboro with his wife Ruth and they attend World Outreach Church.

    As a Sales Consultant for The Jones Team, Jimmy has more than 19 years of successful sales and management experience. His specialty is helping his clients find the “home of their dreams”. He does this by listening to his clients and focusing on their “needs” and “wants”.

    Jimmy is a lifelong resident of Murfreesboro and is a member of the Rutherford County Chamber Of Commerce. He is a 1982 graduate of Oakland High School and a 1986 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where he was a member of the Blue Raider baseball team. Jimmy has 3 children; Halee 14, Nolan 10, and Jacob 7. Jimmy and his children attend World Outreach Church.

    In his spare time Tom can often be found relaxing at his lakehouse, at a Nashville Predators or Tennessee Titans game, or attending one of the many MTSU sporting events, be it basketball, baseball, or more than likely football.

    A long time resident of Rutherford County, Amberly graduated from MTSU with a degree in Mass Communications. She has nine-plus years of experience in customer service. Amberly lives in Murfreesboro with her husband Chris.

    Born in Chattanooga, Stephanie was raised in metro Detroit before moving back to Middle Tennessee when she was 14. Her parents are missionaries, currently serving in South Korea. Stephanie lives in Woodbury.

    Rob "Peanut" Janson, serves as Marketing and Technology Consultant for John Jones Real Estate. He manages our web presence, marketing campaigns, branding, as well as creating and implementing the innovative technology that drives our marketing efforts. 

    Born in Bristol, TN/VA, Rob holds a Bachelors degree from Middle Tennessee State University and now resides in Murfreesboro with his wife Charlotte and their children, Elora and Daley. In his spare time he provides freelance graphic design, videography and real estate photography services, as well as private consulting for a number of other brokerages across the country.

    A Murfreesboro native, Tim brings to the team three decades of sales experience, including more than 15 years in real estate and 12 years running his own small business. 

     

    With the recent sale of his business, Tim is excited about this opportunity to put 100 percent of his time and energy into real estate.  The last time he was able to focus solely on helping people buy and sell houses, Tim’s production was in the top one percent of all Rutherford County Realtors. 

     

    Tim graduated from Riverdale High School and MTSU.  He has a daughter, Mary Claire, who attends Providence Christian Academy.
